Red Wolf Imports was started by Alyssa and Ian Wolf in 2015 when they were looking for a change of career. During a trip to South Africa the two realized that the wines sitting on US retail shelves weren't necessarily representative of what was going on in the South African wine industry. They realized this was likely true of other regions as well. US wine drinkers were missing out on hidden gems while big brand value wine and high end premium bottles (out of most people's price points) dominated the shelves.
Red Wolf Imports carries wines and spirits from lesser known regions that are built on tradition, but not limited by its constraints. Regions that honor their history, but are willing to innovate and change along with the global market.

At Red Wolf Imports we brings those stories to life by connecting our suppliers with wine and spirits lovers throughout the United States.
Our wineries and distillers both honor tradition and embrace innovation, and we champion their stories through trusted distribution partners in our markets.
As an independent importer of goods from lesser known places (those often overlooked by the mainstream companies) our goal is to share those stories with you.

Meet The Team
WSET Level 3
Alyssa’s passion for the beverage industry goes beyond sharing amazing wine and spirits with US wine drinkers. As a lifelong New York Jets fan she loves rooting for the underdog. Red Wolf Imports gives her the opportunity to support small businesses around the world: whether helping wineries and distilleries gain access to the US market, or independent distributor partners to expand their portfolios, or providing small wine shops and restaurants unique sustainably made wines and spirits to share with the customers. Alyssa is the majority owner of Red Wolf.
She currently sits as the Board Chair for Vin Vitalite.
Alyssa also doesn’t hate the fact that Red Wolf gives her the excuse to travel and experience a behind-the-scenes look at vineyards around the world.
Outside of Red Wolf Alyssa’s passions include cooking, snowboarding, making her husband go hiking, and taking too many photos of her cats.
Ian is a behind-the-scenes kinda guy so his role at Red Wolf suits him perfectly. Ian built our Red Wolf operating procedures and handles all things compliance, which is a massive role that Alyssa would fall asleep attempting to perform.
Ian is a true builder and entrepreneur. He is the founder and owner of Electric Highway Libations.
